For the first time in Pump and Abrasion Technologies’ history, we attended Canada’s premier mining show - CIM, where companies from all over the world gathered together to showcase the latest mining equipment, tools, technology, services and products in the mining industry, as well as share ideas to promote the growth of our industry.
The focus at this year’s CIM convention + Expo was on addressing the increasing uncertainty that the mining industry is facing with regards climate change, skill-shortages and how we can transform the mining industry through innovation.
Due to COVID-19, Canada was under strict preventative measures and for a long period of time, mining events, expos and conventions were suspended. Customers and suppliers were only able to meet via video telecommunication platforms such as Zoom and Teams.
For everyone who was attending, it was thus an exhilarating experience to be able to exhibit and engage in person. PABT Canada was able to network with people from all corners of the world on how we can come together and find solutions to contribute to a Net Zero World in the mining sector.
We were able to start a conversation with potential customers surrounding our impact-reducing pumping solutions that not only increases the wear life of their slurry pumps and decreases their Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), but also on how our transformative products help create a safer and more sustainable mining operation and industry.
